God is faithful.

When I ask Him for at least 200 students for VBS. He told me that I have to trust Him and believe that He is going to give me this number. Then I commit it to Him in prayer almost everyday.

Then, another problem came up. The carnival needs lots of helpers and gifts.

As time is drawing near, things were few and not many responses. I began to worry. Again I remembered what He has promised me. So, I just leave it to Him. And today, i have enough gifts and helpers.

I praise Him, for making everything goes well. I thank Him for my team of committee and rest of the helpers. Today, we have 204. So, this serve to teach me that when we leave it to Him with faith, things will turn out ok.

Children are inocent but smart

I play a game with the children's club kid last Saturday. I am the genie and I have given them the power to becomes God. If you were God..........what are you going to do....

- one of them says, she will take all of us to the moon.

- one says, she will wash up all the people.

- He says, he will kill all bad people

- One little boy says, he doesn't know and will ask his mother.

- one girl says, she will turn everyone into good people

- and this boy says, he will wish all good luck to be with him everyday.

- one wants to be rich always

- this boys says he wants to control everybody....

You see, kids, kids, kids, they still think of '"SELF"

What about us???

New Insights

Body of christ? the church, sometimes I wonder how many people really understand our church theme this year? "Love God, Love People"

Coincidence or by purpose God allowed me to hear unpleasant comments from leaders of our church. We are called to love God first or are we called to love people first. In my opinion, our church theme should be "Love People, Love God" why do I said that????

Many leaders, pastors, teachers portray an outlook of loving God sincerly and zealously serving, but sad to say that they fail to portray an outlook of loving people. I hardly hear word of encouragement or edifying words from leaders,teachers,pastors or brothers & sisters, but rather setbacks or criticism. We are quick at seeing failure but slow to see the willingness of one striving hard with sincerity to serve.

I guess, if i will to be given an opportunity to share, i can count an endless blessings God has given to Canaan.

Not to reveal too much!!

A lesson to learn

For the Christian Prayer is not an option but an opportunity.

Don't tell the Lord how big the problem is, tell the problem how Great the Lord is!

Put God first, be happy at last!

Today world allow me to see that God's coming is indeed very near.

What are we christians suppose to do? I ask myself, if today I am to meet God personally and I am granted 3 wishes, what will I ask of Him? I pause for a moment. My 1st wish, "A new world"

2nd wish, A new happy world and 3rd wish, destroy this old earth and give us a new world.

On my second thot, didn't God ask us to do His will and we are to suffer for Him and it's our sins that put us in this difficult situation. Didn't he prophesize that we are to go through tribulation?

Well, well, not that bad afterall, we canaanite are still enjoying ourselves with lots of funs and leisures. It's time for us to wake up from my dreams like what Daniel Mok says,

God is always good to me, he spoke to me...will share with all during this coming Sunday Worship!

Guess what?

Praise the Lord that the response from the members was good. We have a total of 47 volunteers to help out in the Very Best School of Canaan. I believes it is the work of the Holy Spirit. This is just the beginning of warfare. But God is with us and who can be against us. Do pray with me so that we will be able to achieve our goals and aim of this VBS.

To God be the glory.

God answer prayer

Sometimes, I think I am smart in solving little problems without asking Him for help.
But it turn out to be more complicated at times.

I am supposed to do the promotion for VBS this coming Sunday. Everything seems not in place at all. Video clip done, but prayers list not listed and printed, sign up form not printed, personnel supposed to reply my email but all falls on deaf ear.

I wonder, whether I am really the appropriate person to run this VBS? Worried begin to creep in me. And immediately I call my good friend, Siew Teng, she was having migraine and she told me not to worry and meet her on Tuesday. That very moment, I know for sure that Satan is trying to discourage me. But God gave me this verse : Pro 3:6, In all my ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct my paths. Rom 8:31, If God is for me, who can be against me?

Therefore, it is not how much efforts I put in but in everything through supplications.

New look, new blessings

Last night, while, I was doing my video editing for VBS, I prayed and ask God to show me how to do it. Sure enough, the task comes easy. I was glad that I found a nice picture of Daniel Mok to be pasted on my video clip. I thank Him for such a caring, cute and fun brother to be with, regardless of our age. His willingness to take up the Carnival events truly impress me.

I truly thank God for the group of youths who are always there to help when we (old fellows) needed them.

Another blessing

Today, during the sunday worship leading, God has allow me to feel His presence.
I always thought that the most important role as a Worship Leader is to lead people into worship.
That is not strictly true: I learn that the most important role is to serve, the Lord.

It doesn't matter what songs or how well or how good I am to lead but it is those songs that have really convicted me. I believes and convince how mighty our Lord can do if we fully trust in Him.

Thank you Jesus for that beautiful hymn. Pass me not, O gently Saviour.

Sad News

I just got a bad news from a good friend of mine that her husband had just passed away. He died of liver cancer. The good news is he repented and revive in the Lord.

The last meal I was with them, he jokingly said that God is gracious to him, everyday is a bonus day from the Lord.

Let us not take our day for granted. We should live everyday as it is our last day. By doing so, we will remembered what requires of us from the Lord.

A timely reminder to me. Praise God for he uses whatever ways to speak to me.

Sunday blessing

It's a blessing of Canaan to have good pastors like Rev Chua, Pr Siew Teng and Pr Yaw.
They are the one that never preach out of context and every message preached is biblical.

After comparing from invited speakers and laid leaders' preaching, I thank God for Rev Chua
preaching. Though it maybe long and serious but I know that's what God is trying to tell all Cannaanites.

Praise God for such providence.
